When people who would not otherwise meet work side by side in the garden or share the harvest at a UACC market day, they begin a conversation that helps break down the social barriers that separate neighbors. By working together to grow and share healthy food, we create a strong foundation upon which to build a healthier community.

When people get involved with UACC...

100% tell us they meet more people of a different race or ethnicity than their own.

97% eat more fresh fruits and vegetables.

94% report they are better able to provide healthy food for their families.

In one year UACC can...

Grow 20 different types of vegetables and 7 types of berries and tree fruits.

Harvest over 17,000 pounds of fresh, organically grown vegetables and fruits.

Engage over 100 volunteers of all ages and backgrounds in the gardens and at market days.

Share the harvest, free of charge, with over 380 people in the local community.
